Alissa Rupp is an award-winning designer of informal education and learning environments, including museums, visitor centers, zoos, aquariums, and public gardens. Her background in child development, museum education, and music contributes to her work in designing and managing projects that engage children and families around the world. Alissa strives for a seamless blend of art, nature, culture, and play that represents an organization’s mission while connecting visitors to culture and history. She leads multidisciplinary teams in synthesizing the input of all stakeholders, and creates places where people can discover ideas, tell stories, or hone skills through interaction and exploration. Her work promotes sustainability on all levels, respecting the time and financial resources of her clients, as well as the site’s natural resources. At the scale of the neighborhood, the site, the building, or the interactive exhibit, Alissa brings passion and purpose to each project – elevating user experience while advancing design excellence.
