The Alaska SeaLife Center is a dual research and exhibit facility developed by the Seward Association for the Advancement of Marine Science (SAAMS). This facility focuses on research of environmental issues affecting the marine species of southern Alaska, and offers the public the unique opportunity to view actual, ongoing research projects, as well as living marine species up close in a naturalistic habitat. Specific programs focus on the breeding, rehabilitation and reintroduction of Steller sea lions, seals, sea otters and seabirds.
