Building upon Manitoba’s reputation as the “polar bear capital of the world,” Portico is working with the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg to develop a Canadian Arctic exhibit—Journey to Churchill. This signature exhibit offers world-class programming related to arctic education, research, and conservation, and includes an International Polar Bear Conservation Center that opened in January 2012. The exhibit represents the first phase in a 10-year master plan for the zoo.
