Brookfield Zoo Hamill Family Wild Encounters

Brookfield Zoo
Chicago, IL

The Hamill Family Wild Encounters provides a state‑of‑the-art update to a much loved children’s zoo. The exhibit represents a transformational step for the zoo, providing the space and setting for the next step in the Chicago Zoological Society’s goals to feature up close encounters with animals in daily visitor interactions. The new exhibit will provide a touchstone for some of their most intense visitor-animal interactions; from feeding and grooming goats and inviting parakeets to perch on a fruit stick, to hopping around in the same enclosure with wallabies and emus, the level of inter-species interaction will be higher than any other area of the zoo.
