On December 12, Portico President and CEO Mike Hamm represented the firm at the Best Projects 2011 California Awards Breakfast, hosted by Engineering News-Record and McGraw-Hill Construction. Two Portico projects were honored at this year’s awards ceremony. The Pearl Harbor Memorial Museum & Visitor Center in Honolulu, Hawaii received the award for Best Cultural/Worship Project, and the new Elephants of Asia exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo was given an award of merit for Best Landscape/Hardscape/Urban Development Project. This annual awards program is dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them.
